1957

The first of these had that weird clock, that stove design was GEs most popular ever, it was made in various configurations up into the 70s.

That "target" clock was a cheap way for GE to upgrade an otherwise BOL range, and I believe they introduced this feature in 1957 with their Clean Line design.  I do not know if it was installed (only) at the factory, or if a dealer could install it for a customer.  I don't think it was used more than one or two model years; I suspect it was generally seen as a rather 'tacky' addition to a nice product.

It is funny looking - like someone set an alarm clock on top of it.

As Lawrence states, it's a lower priced model, with the burners at opposite sides instead of grouped on the left.

My cousin Mary had one that looked a lot like that, but was a more MOL model with burners at left, and clock in the backsplash. Hers was from around '64.
