Interesting dryer

This console was introduced in 1964 (and lasted forever), and in 1965 GE started calling these V14 models (and then V16), but this one has no mention of its capacity and the toggles aren't correctly positioned for a 2-switch model.  Also, it appears that by 1968 GE had stopped positioning the handle in the horizontal position.  None of my catalogs show any with the blue panel on the right; I'm wondering if this could be a Canadian version?

I like it.

Tom,

I checked the 1964 Sweets insert and I don't think the DA520 is a match.  The photo does not show a contrasting area on the right side of the console, and like I said, the two toggles are not centered top-to-bottom on the console - which would be the typical placement for 2 switches.  On this one the lower switch appears to be centered, as it would be if there were 3 switches.  Minor quirks, but enough for me to believe the one you identified is not the right model.

Anyone else have any clues? It does look like it's supposed to have another switch below those two. GE had a lot of model variations which weren't in the brochures - especially for special promotions. When I get a chance, and if I remember, I'll look in the newspaper archive at the historical society to see if the local GE dealer ran an ad for one like this.

Once and only once, I passed by a used appliance store here in the States that had a BOL GE washer with a square of turquoise backsplash on the right surrounding the usual black dial with white lettering.

It's designed like the 64 models but...

it could be a 65 leftover; GE did these all the time. It has the distinctive panel of the '64 line where a brushed chrome or steel bezel was super-imposed on the majority of a grey steel panel starting from the left (the kicker is that the official BOL that year looked more like future control panels from the late Sixties):
