I was asked by the VCCC President, Morgan Frazer, to post this to the AW site. It has appeared in all the forums at VacuumLand.org.

There is a change of times and update for Thursday, 9/13.

Due to a computer problem with the Regency Lodge, our registration times and entrance to our meeting room has been changed.

Registration will be on the mezzanine above the hotel sign in desk, just outside our meeting room from 4:00 PM till 5:30 PM.

Entrance to the meeting room which then allows you to take in your vacuums will be 5:30 PM or slightly therafter when your Convention Committee opens it up.

This gives early arrivals a chance to unpack, settle in, go thrifting, go out for lunch, chat with friends, have a drink, and get ready for the convention!

Chips & dip, snack mix, bottled water and bottled soda will be available from 5:30 PM until 6:30 PM. Cookies and beverages, (upon request), will be available from 8:00 PM till 9:00 PM.

Please DO NOT make the snacks your dinner! Also, the club pays for EVERY bottle of water and EVERY bottle of soda, so if you partake of these beverages, please drink them!

Our new contact people at the hotel are: Sales: Jackie Shultz, Administrative Assistant: Diane Duran. Our former contact person has moved on to a new position with another hotel.

This message will be posted on all forums. Please adjust your schedules accordingly if necessary.

Thanks and see you SOON!

Charlie Watrous
Convention Chairman VCCC 2007

Charlie a couple of questions for you:

#1 Do the AW.org members who have mailed in their application to come to the convention but are not official VCCC members need to register at the hotel between 4:00 and 5:30pm as well?

#2 I am bringing at least three vintage vacuums that I would like to give away to any VCCC member who wants them. One is (C2 Compact) already spoken for. Should I bring them to the hotel gathering or should I show them at Greg's house during the Friday night wash in?

Robert,

AW members who have paid the registration fee should plan to come to register at the hotel. The registration desk may be set up earlier than 5:30, probably closer to 4:00 PM. You can sign in, get a copy of the agenda and your name tag.

I would really like you to put your vacuums in our raffle area. We sell raffle tickets, (the price gets better if you buy more!), to raise money for the club. If someone sees a vacuum that they can't live without, they are more apt to purchase several tickets. As we pull the winning numbers, the winners get their choice of what is available.

Would you like to participate in this? If so, all members will benefit.

Thanks,
Charlie

Hi Charlie, it will be my pleasure to particpate. As I said the Compact is spoken for, but I will also bring down a 1935 Kenmore Upright and the very first Regina Electric Broom to add to the raffle area.

Looking forward to see you and everyone else next week.

Omaha Weekend

I "just happened" to drive my Greg's house this morning and see the exciting weekend is already underway. (pictured: Greg & Terry).
