OMG!!!!! Bauknecht company

Hi, All I looked at the Bauknecht website. These are the people that make the WP Duet washers. Look at the model of the homepage. I decided that Im going to Germany to do laundry. Forget about my Duet. This looks like much more FUN!!!! ....Bill in Az.....

The model probably has to cover up for the bad quality of the machines. I hate to say this because you own a Duet, but the Duets and the Hetties are made by Bauknecht and to be honest it's the worst German washer manufacturer. In Europe Bauknecht is well known for it's high number of repairs on their machines. I know several people who had drama's with Bauknecht appliances. I really hope they do a better job on the American machines than on the European ones.

Well foraloysius, you are definetly right!! My parents had a bauknecht dishwasher and a bauknecht dryer. Both lasted 5 years. The dishwasher was leaking on the computerboard and the dryer drum went out of the rails and really jumped out of the cabinet. Never bauknecht in my house. Rather a bosch (but i've read the are also sometimes of poor quality) or MIELE of cours (but there can always be a machine that is made on a monday!!)

Wow! Most people I know with Duets haven't had any problems. There are quite a few being sold in my area because the Whirlpool dealership outsells the other two dealerships (a GE dealership and the Frigidaire/Maytag dealership).

I have had my set almost 5 years now, and they have never let me down, or give me one moments trouble.
And they are used very often.
