Norge built 21" wide machines. I often saw these under the Wards Signature label. These were available in a portable version as well.
Any Norge fans here? New, never used machines in awesome avocado!

Norge capacity
What i liked about the old Norge my family had was the huge tub capacity. Seemed those washers had more capacity than the supposed "Super capacity" tin cans we have today.

Is so special about "Bradford Appliances" may one ask?
Granted the set is really goregous, and would love to hear how they manged to stay MIB for over 20 years.
Really hope a member nabs these, or at least someone who will give them a loving home. You know, the kind of gal/guy that will give em a wax down and not abuse these beauties.

The W. T. Grant "Bradford" line of appliances was way down in the "feeding order" even amongst the store brands so to own a decent set is really different. It was sort of the "AMC" of the store branded appliance world, with Sears being "GM", Wards being "Ford" Penney's being "Chrysler"

Is a Bradford like an AMC Pacer?
Now those were strange looking cars, no? Not much fun to drive but everyone knew what it was when they saw you coming. And who remembers in the late 70's the AMC Concorde? Definitely not a supersonic Jet (!). AMC's attempt at competing with luxury compacts. But I digress...unbelievable that this set is so untouched, truly MINT! Wow. Brings back memories of my childhood - Grants was like a small department store style cheapo place to shop. Mom did what she had to with clothing 5 of us!

Poor AMC, they sure made some oddities for the times, they'd be right up there now with some hits today. What would a Gremlin or Pacer driver be driving today, probably their old Pacer or Gremlin helped along with duct tape and coat hanges..hahaha

I have a Pacer in storage awaiting restoration. It wa myy everyday car for quite a while. Actually, it drove wonderfully, the only drawback was being somehwat underpowered. Smooth ride and roomy.
Concorde was simply a Hornet "luxury-ized" was quite animprovement though. And they weren't that slow with the 258 six with 2 bbl carb or the 304 V8

My Grandmother worked at Grants until the doors closed. I remember we had a Bradford stereo console for years. It was great at the time. My grandmother had a portable stereo that was fine. My aunt had a Bradford refrigerator for years. They said it would not die. I remember using their photo film for a few years. We did not shop there too often. My grandmother would get things for us, from Grants, at discount.
I have an old promo Christmas album that Grants put out years ago. I also have a Grant Maid iron that still works.

alr, Grant's went out of business in 1975, so these machines are at minimum 30 (not 20) years old! Wow...and congratulations to Jamie who won them!
