Those are our machines...lol

Ps Although the 1469 should be a liberator, its an early 1469 so it isn't purple. Blue and black instead.

How do Mark

I know they are.

Hence I thought that they should be added to this thread - sorry if I stole your thunder!

Cheers

p.s great news that you have changed your mind re the two classic front loaders - I am sure that you would have regretted it.

Zanussi Z9191T

Hello! I have purchased the Z9191T to go alongside my Hotpoint 9534. I love those pre-Electrolux Zanussis. Manchester here I come!

Tom.

Hotpoint9534,
How is the 9534 doin? A Z series to go alongside! What a perfect machine to stand alongside it! Congrats! I'd love to see some pics of them both if you ever get chance!

Darren

I remember one or two of these knocking round when I was a kid.

I think its a Model 3019 (can anyone confirm?).

Muy understanding is that Model 3021 was gravity drain out the front and Model 3019T was the version of the machine below, but with a timer.

Hotpoints and Zanussis!

Thanks everyone! The 9534 is working like new. It had new bearings fitted by the engineer before I bought it off him. I think by 1989 they'd just about perfected the 4kg machines, of course with the 9536 the 5kg drum was introduced and they just don't seem as solid. (I had a 9537 at uni and the suspension is no-where near as solid and jumps around the kitchen frequently!).

I'm collecting the Z9191T on Saturday and I must say I'm really looking forward to getting it home and plumbed in, I'm hoping it's still got its induction motor as I've never seen one of the induction Zanussis running before. The oldest I'm familiar with is the FL1012 which was still pure Zanussi designed but had an Electrolux brush motor so was more noisy!

Does anyone know if the programme sequence is similar on the Z series to the later FL series? Does it do the step cool down after the wash where it tumbles, fills, tumbles, fills etc?

Tom.

Hi Gary.

If I had a place to put it, I would have placed a bid quick as a flash!
An aunt and uncle of mine had the follow on machines - Mk200 dryer and Mk300 washer. The washer was dispatched when I was about 8, but the dryer went on for a few more years. Ever since have really liked the old Servis compacts.
I hope you filled in the new owner on just what a classic he is now custodian of - it looks totally immaculate and really well cared for (was it an earlier restoration job?).

Never seen a Burco D2 before, although D3's seem to have been rather prevelant recently, with three being available over the last six months or so. Have you an idea of when the D2's were on sale?

Oh, nearly forgot.......welcome to the club.
Cheers
Paul

Servis Mk75 Supa-dry on ebay

Hello Paul it was in good condition, a few scratches on the cabinet but nothing serious.
We had a service 74 dryer came into tioday but ti was too far gone :-( and also it didnt have a SQUARE door ;-)

Here,s a pic of my A3308

A3308 But are your whites really white

Yes the A3308 is good condtition (not mint), the logic 1300 is in my opinion the best Hoover ever made.
The kick panel on the A3308 is the same type of plastic used on the Logic front panel and it discolours with time aswell as the lettering wearing off, when i had a Logic 1300 years ago i bought a complete front panel and buttons from Hoover becuase it annoyed me so much
Also the push buttons on A3308 discolour with time aswell so i sprayed mine with white radiator paint, at some point i will re-spray the On/off and door buttons and maybe use letraset transfers on them
So yes Seamus i do love the A3308, at least you can have yours in the house, im not allowed to bring "old" washers in mine they have to live in the garage :-(

ah well
Speak later lads
Gary

Can you elaborate

I am intrigued by the dryer you mention - Service/Servis 74 dryer without a square door.
Going from the smiles and frowns, do you mean its door was missing or that it had a round door?

Was it another Mk75?

Cheers
Paul
p.s the A3308 looks great.

Can you elaborate

Hello Paul sorry the Servis dryer was either a 374 or a 474, it had a brown round door and a sloped control panel.
The Burco D2s date back to about 1961, its construction is fantastic, the inards are built on a chassis then the cabinet is attached to this and it is super silent in operation
I have also bought Marks (A3060) Hoover dryer deluxe as it is one of my favourite Hoover dryers plus it will match the A3190 electron 1100 washing machine (should i ever get one)
i must also agree with the comments about induction motors being so quiet, thye are lovely
I am presently working on a Hoover 3334 twin tub which hopefully i will get working fully and then respray the cabinet.
I have just finished restoring a Hotpoint 15790 toploader and i must say what a great machine these are to use
The trouble is time i never have enough.
Anyway this is a great site
So cheers chaps
Gary
