Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

very quiet night

I had Subway for dinner and went to choir, after which I went and practiced on the organ for a bit.
I took Jack for a nice long walk when I got home, he had LOTS of new trees to pee on!
Now I am going to sleep. Two more days of work then vacation, the VCCC convention is in St Louis next week.

Congratulations and happy anniversary! (or un-anniversary, depending on how you look at it) I'm glad I never got hooked. I tried cigarettes and didn't get any desired effects, but instead they made me really nervous and jittery. I guess that's good because I'm not hooked. The only thing I would really want to smoke isn't legal in USA (at least not yet).

Yay!

You go with your bad self! :-)

I agree with some above comments... you need to treat yourself to a new (old) toy. Maybe something will turn up next week. Or you could buy yourself an old Frigidaire (washer). I suppose that would suffice.

And Toggle:
"Yay Jeff. Butts are addictive! "

Hi Jeff,
If you've made it for a whole year, you will be OK. It's been three years for me, but if I knew I was on borrowed time, I'd go back to smoking my a-- off. Marlboro Reds- God, I;m getting a hot flash!

Hey Jeff. Congratulations! I quite 13 years ago after smoking for 27 years at 2-3 packs a day. If I can do it, anyone can. It took me a good year and a half to get over it. At times, I still miss them. If I make it to my 70's I may start again. LOL

Bobby, I also like my Marboro's. LOL If I just had ONE now, I think I would buy a carton and smoke till my teeth turned brown. (Okay Bobby, more business for you). LOL

Marlboros for me too

but ultra lights, not the reds... they went really great with a cup of coffee, or a glass of soda after dinner!

Marlboros

I switched to Marlboro 100's. I figuered more nicotine for the money. lol NOTHING, I MEAN NOTHING can beat cigarette with a cup of coffee, or after a great meal. Sorry, don't mean to entice you into smoking again. But we can dream can't we? Best of luck to you

Ray

NOTHING, I MEAN NOTHING can beat cigarette..after a great me

Sorry to burst your bubble Ray, but I can think of other things besides a cigarette that would be stress relieving after a meal.......

(ducks and runs g**ly forward~!)

Gary I think Ray may have meant things you can do at the tab

Now Gary, I am trying to be good here. Of course there are a lot of other (stress relieving) things to do after a good meal. But then again, a cigarette is good after sex also. LOL

I am askin for it I know

OK at the table and in front of others....

Where you going with that now???

Congrats Jeff!

I have not been here for awhile and see that you are one year smoke free! Yea! Keep up the good work.
I see that you said that Jack had a lot of new trees to pee on, did you buy a house? Good for you if you did. I love summer, no urchins for awhile. Gary

My Dad quit smoking when I was three years old, largely because he was tired of me nagging him. It was right at the beginning of the anti-smoking PSA's on TV, and I must have watched a lot of TV. I guess I was always nagging people about smoking.

The funny thing is, and we didn't learn this until years later, Dad didn't strictly quit. But he never bought another pack of cigarettes or bummed cigs. It was just that back in those days (the late 60's - early 70's) the airlines would hand out mini packs of cigarettes for free, and he flew a lot for work. He would keep those, and used them to gradually ween himself off the smokes, but he never smoked in front of us. And the money he saved on smokes allowed us to take a nice vacation in the rockies.

When I think back on the old days (when I first started working) and how everyone had a big ashtray on their desk, it's hard to believe how much has changed.

I never smoked myself, but after all the years I spent working in bars and restaurants, and waking up the next morning with a pounding headache and sore throat, I feel like I did.

But I have to admit - smoking can look cool (if the person knows how to do it) and it looks like a nice way to pass the time. :-)
