Such a wonderful review from the past is contained within the link to the magazine. Thanks for sharing. The advertisements alone cause an appliance lover to lust - Frigidaire, Maytag, Air-conditioners, Whirlpool - and the Cadillac - wow! What a time in America's history when quality and substance were the standard in so many ways!

and to go along with Oldskool's comments, there's something cool about vintage ads - maybe it's the unique designs of the appliances from that era. Duh.

I didn't hear back from the seller of the Avocado Custom Imperial range in Austintown but the seller of the other avocado range should send me the instructions manual that was pictured in the ad!

It’s amazing how beautiful Frigidaire’s low-end stuff used to be.  Really beautiful.  And really pink!!!

...because I didn't want to waste space creating a whole new thread. This is from a current TV ad for a vacuum cleaner. A nice vintage Philco (I think) electric range. You have to look closely to catch it.
