I was innocently tyring to change the gas orfice valve to a new one I bought, going through the access door, and all shit broke loose.
Detaching the burner tube and pilot assembly was easy, after the gas was shut off.
So, with the appropriate wrench, I just turned the gas burner pilot orfice just a hair, and the tube or protusion that comes from the gas valve assembly broke right off with it, shit and be damned! It looks pretty much a part of the assembly, not detachable in any way.
I think I need a new DG906 gas valve assembly,(or a Halo of heat gas assembly) but can't find one anywhere.

I am upset, I don't want to retire this machine: It has new belts, new electronic dry control, new pilot tube capillary assembly(really hard to find)a paint job and especially a new lighted control wiring and lamp as well as a new bell to ring when the clothes are ready.

If anyone has an assembly for a gas Maytag, DG906, methinks the part is 3-3202, please let me know.

AW, Thanks you guys! Robert, for the good part referral person and Goatfarmer for the very generous offer.

If it makes any difference, I have a timer for an A608, water level button control switch, fast/slow buttons and switch and temp control buttons and switch, all in good working order that I can send to anyone who needs them in the club for the price of shipping as well. This room has been very, very good to me.

A while back I suggested that perhaps we could put a listing site for extra parts that we have or need, but Robert has got his hands full in the fabulous forums we already have, not to mention bandwith restrictions. Parts Forum would be great but perhaps time consuming? I dunno, just thinking of a way to help out by putting the ideas out there.

Can't wait to get my DG906 running again!

Philip
