I went to collect two sinlge tub washers and two spinnarinses this evening after work for Mat from Cardiff.

This guy was a Hoover engineer for years and i came away with more than i thought, here a couple of fots of just some of the parts i got from him.

Will post a better listing tomorrow when i have time.

Also there is a very nice surprise with the washing machines that neither Mat nor I knew about :-)

also whilst standing on a very cheap make of washing machine (name with held) at work today the crappy cheaply made lid gave way and i fell of it.........leg and back are bad.........if and when i get to work i am going to take a 5lb club hammer to it and finish the cheap peice of shite off! ;-]

Hiya Gary.

Just got off the phone from Mathew and he mentioned that the tub seller had come up trumps with other bits and pieces.

The finds look uber interesting to put it mildly!

Mathew also mentioned a 'surprise' - cant wait to hear all about it.

Sorry to hear about the injuries. Hope that you are get back to form soon as possible.

Spinarinses

Hi Gary,

Are both of them working? Also what models are they? I need to find a Spinarinse over here soon. Tell us about the Single's too. Looks like you have a good stash of parts. Hope you make a speedy recovery soon.

Regards, James.

Hoover Hoist

Well i got the car unloaded and have taken some very quick fots of the booty

See if anyone can spot the "surprise" bit :-)

What a fantastic find Gary.

Its amazing what some old service guys and shops have in their sheds.

Suppose its a lesson to us all really - always do a bit of digging, as you never know what you will find and what people have hidden away!

I know Mathew will be really pleased with his two twosomes.

Paul

old gits

Hello Mike and Paul

oh yes, you think how many enquiries we have all made over the years, some have come up trumps but i would say the majority fail, how many times have we all heard "i dumped loads of those bits years ago".........or "i have but i dont have the time to dig them out" but it is nice to come across some sometimes, helps us hang on to the past :-)
I have often found that when i have got in touch with a retired engineer they know every thing! so i never contradict them and treat them like a god :-)

This was the result of my usual email i send to people listing items on ebay..........on this occasion it has worked out well, he doesnt want any money, he said he was glad to get rid of them and is glad they will be used, how ever at the end he did say if you want to me some money feel free :-), which i shall do.

one other thing, that lovely Zanussi (another thread) that came in at work yes i did agonise a bit over that one Paul, i did remove the "Zanussi The Appliance Of Science" sticker from it.

Well me gammy leg and back are easing up a bit so i shall go to work

Speak later
Gary

Hey Gary!

Another excellent find! Hey I can't help notice that great water connection you have going on in there? Can you tell me where you bought it? I could use something like that in my garage instead of a million Y piece connecters and pipes coming left right and centre! lol.

Darren

Thanks Gary

for offering to collect these machines, these will help to complete 3 twosome sets, and greater still you've made that connection, some brilliant spare parts there.

I'm still grinning thinking of the first wash with a bridgeing unit lol, there will hardly be a drop of water on the floor lol. Though it will be interesting to see how the theory actually works in practice, or does it jump off with the slightest vibration.

Thanks for the photo of the bridge, I'd only ever seen the front view in the catalogue and didn't realise the funnel or winged profile to the sides, I'd always thought they were much smaller, more like ridges, so great to be able to put a 3d picture in my mind.

I see the A3060 is in action as you photograph the 1100 side.

Hope you are soon back to normal after your fall, have you put it in the accident book lol, cause, cheap imports lol

See you soon

Mathew

"there will hardly be a drop of water on the floor lol&#

Lol..Hi Mathew..that statement & a hoover wash action somehow dont go together..get your mop ready!!!

I remember my nans bridge the early one and only saw it in action once, but the water ran to the front & back & was somehow caught by the top trim...then my gran had the black version but no hoover spinner & remember thinking how pronounced the wings where on it, will be interesting to compare results...

Spares

Hi Gary and Matthew,

Did they give you any spare fill/drain hoses for the Single's? Mine is all split.

James.

Gary

Hope your back and leg are on the mend. Don’t give Hurry the hammer to much work on that very cheap machine.

Our poor cars take some sort of punishment, loaded with washers and other piles of junk.

I was pleased to be able to collect them for you, and it was even better when he casually produced the bridging kit, me being the "SW" link it makes sense :-)
yes as you can see the garage was a tad tidier than it is now, and yes the 3060 was on a wash cycle ;-)

MIKE
Well as you well know Hoover single or twin tubs will get water on the floor no matter what you do, it is one there best features, due no doubt to the incredibly strong and long lasting motor driving the pulsator, no 11 second burst power here :-)

James
i am sorry but no other single tub parts were offered or mentioned, all i can say is "patience grasshopper" these do turn up :-)

LEE
Hello matey, that FU**IN peice of shite had two washers dumped heavily ontop of it today plus a few boot sole prints on its back plate (which dented)......Harry the Hammer stayed in the box.
My Car/ashtray.........poor thing it is chipped, dented a lot of the rear interior trim has long since departed the rear floor over the spare wheel gave up the ghost some yeas ago with the constant weight of washing machines on it.....it has been a diamond though, i really should get an estate or a van.

Last trip up to Mikes had three of us (Me MAT & Richard) one VERY HEAVY Hoover keymatic, a load of Hoover vacuum cleaners, our luggage and ten rounds of sandwiches and various sweets fags etc......it was well overloaded :-) but it took it in its stride
But you know i kind of enjoy driving around with washing machines in the back, you never know some one might notice and say i have one of those i want rid of...........arghh dreams ;-)

Hey Gary

Looking at all those 1100 parts you have would you ever be willing to sell anything to me should I ever need it for my A3110! Its doing great at the moment touch wood!

I just have visions of something eventually giving way and flooding my kitchen and ultimately the boiler which is below the kitchen in the cellar!

He wants me bits!

Richard

I/We can help you out with parts an stuff, But when you come on telling us this is wrong or that it is very difficult to say what it is some times.
The best thing you can do is get the machine to one the meets and we can go over it for you.

As you can see though parts are about dont worry until something happens ;-)

Gary
