I've been saying that

for sometime. When my mom got hers in September 2007, she went by the manual. Afterwards from the next load on, she had it down. Eventually, in early 2008, she showed me how to use it. It was just as easy, even more so than my mechanically controlled GE, although I've mastered both. It's about trial and error. It did indeed work differently. It's a front load lg tromm matching set.

i would say its always important to read the manuel i remember to me passing from a 1993 inglis superbII direct drieve top load washer to a 2004 duet front load was a transition, even do i know it well i can say its a major change

how many people HERE, read your cars owner manual?...from every car you have ever owned...

page by page, front to back.....not just jumping to areas you need info on!.....

how about:

medicare/health insurance book?

medication pamphlet?

home owners/car insurance packet?

mortgage paperwork?

hidden instructions inside the box of condoms?

better yet, how many have fully read all the rules, regulations and conditions of joining this site?.....how many don't abide by them?....you wouldn't want to make Robert's life easy now would you?...

and I know theres loads of fine print that comes with a credit card....interest rate, fees, grace periods, late payments, contact info, benefits, etc...

BTW...my card has buyer protection, low interest, automatic membership into AARP and AAA, hotel and car rental discounts, freq flyer miles, and cash back.....What's in your wallet?

I haven't read any of the above.  I open the manual when I need a specific question answered and I jump to that page.  I obtain electronic copies for all that I can so I can do a quick search and get what I need.  When it comes to reading everything else, it would take a court order and I'm not sure that would do it.</span>

 

<span style="font-family: helvetica;">For example, just yesterday we went to sign papers to refinance on our house (by the way great rates right now if you're thinking you want to refinance).  The title company did a curbside closing which I liked.  However, the too of us were signing and initialing for I don't know how many pages.  Did I read it all, hell no.  I read the page that had the numbers on it only to make sure they got them right and they fixed the spelling of Joe's last name.  I bet we signed and initialed 50 or more pages sitting in the car.</span>

and this woman was stupid. You guys should post comments on the lg washer video I linked in this thread. Both owners of these new high-tech washers and dryers are indeed stupid.

Owners manuals and they drawers they live in......

I'm always telling people either how to start their power equipment or run it when they pic it up after a repair when they claim its always been hard starting and running. They may as well have just threw the owners manual in the recycling bin as soon as they got it home as its doing as much good sitting in a drawer or garage shelf where they threw it after unboxing the item.

had 9, count'em 9 labels on the damn thing. Either warning labels or how to labels ..... and it comes with a manual. First thing I do is get the heat gun and warm up the labels and pull the ugly things off. And I don't need 2 labels (one on each side) on my hammer telling me to wear goggles.  I am so tired of this dumbing down to the lowest common denominator crap.  Just like the xmas lights we got this year,  6 labels on the string of lights and one being long as a grocery receipt and held on with a zip tie. WTH?! And it came with a 2 page manual.  And in the freaking manual they tell you not to remove the warning labels! That one was for me obviously but who wants big yellow, red and white warning labels on tree lights that is for display of all things??

OK, I have to step in here.

For everyone asking about the video at the top of this page, just a reminder that this thread is 9 years old. The video was probably deleted 8 years ago after she resolved the issue or got a new machine, I'm guessing. Jerome, please try not to post comments or try to coerce others to do so on the LG video that you linked. That particular video is THIRTEEN, yes 13 years old. I guarantee you that his issues were dealt with over a decade ago and this machine was made into a KIA long before we even celebrated New Year's Day in 2009. Not trying to be a moderator, just trying to inform.

but anyway, warning labels are only placed on products, because you know, someone tried something bizarre, the company got sued, and now we have updated warning labels....

check out curling iron warning labels.....do not insert appliance into any orifices'!.....

same thing for Preparation H....do not take by mouth.....

Excuse me if I revive this thread once again, but I have a thought. We will just let these consumers destroy the machines due to user error, then go on the news about why their fancy machine destroyed itself. Enough said.

But what about machines that spontaneously explode?

I know a Samsung machine did that, and so either clearly something went wrong during manufacturing or that lady was using it so wrong she was using it to probably wash rocks
