I'm wondering if anyone has any view of how good Arm & Hammer unscented powder laundry detergent is. I'm contemplating this because it is one of the few unscented powder detergent choices available locally.

Not too bad of a detergent. Use it all the time in a hair salon washing white towels. They are done in hot water with about 1/2 cup of bleach per load. Top loader so about 2/3 of a cup works good. Definitely no scent when they come out of the washer or the dryer, which is what we want when drying hair.

Jon is right

It does clean well together with chlorine or oxygen bleach and it does not leave a scent.
As Laundress keeps pointing out and as we have observed in many, many, MANY chemical interactions throughout the span of history:
The warmer the water, the better clothes get cleaner.
(Up to the point the enzymes denature, of course).

Thanks for the answers!

Just to clarify, since scent has been mentioned, I'm referring to the unscented version. (Admittedly, some unscented detergents may leave a slight scent...) This is the cheapest option (oddly, the store has 2 box sizes, and the smallest is unscented, and the bigger is some scented formula).

Heat killing enzyme action may not be a worry. IIRC, one issue with this detergent is that from what I could see in the ingredients there are no enzymes... Which is certainly a minus.
