While shopping at Kroger's today, I found Roma detergent. Just had to buy a bag after I saw that it contained phosphates. Anyone used it? Opinions, please.....(i know this has been discussed before, but can't remember the results)

Love it!

Great on whites! I washed some old rags in it and they came out clean, and I mean CLEAN!! With all the suds I thought they would need a second rinse, but nope! It rinses out well, it doesn't leave a lingering fragrance that is overpowering, and it's cheap. I don't think it can compare to old Tide or anything top-tier with phosphates, but regardless of price, it does a darn good job.

I think it might have some bluing (but I could be wrong),

I have used Roma along with Foca and Viva. They are all great detergents although I spike them with additional phosphates that I buy online from a chemical company. The Mexican detergents tend to foam but when that happens, I use carpet defoamer that I buy at Industrial Chemicals of Arizona and it takes away all the foam.

Sudsy, sudsy, sudsy! Made by the same company that makes Foca. I think Foca has a few more ingredients in it (enzymes) that Roma lacks, probably because it is used more of an all-purpose cleaner in Mexico.

I have a bag of Roma that I bought in Barbados last Sept, have yet to use it as I only currently have FL Automatics and I worry about it sudsing too much. Used it to handwash some bits and bobs a while ago and it didnt suds a great deal. Just need a Twinnie or top loader to try it out for real.

I was impressed with the cleaning it gave my handwash.

It really is a nice detergent.

sudsy....

Roma does make a good suds in the wash water, but the rinse water is almost free of suds. My washer(s) drain into a laundry tub and the rinse water is almost suds free....more so than with Tide. It does clean well, but I haven't used it on really dirty clothes yet...time will tell.

This stuff works great!!!

Yes Roma is a very good detergent it has a smell similar to lemon cookies.Yes i like the stuff and the price is right.
