I know the song is Folsom Prison Blues but who's the artist?

I don't know who the artist is, but I like the song too. My guess is that this was recorded in Nashville in the early '60s, and probably the organist was a session musician. It sounds a little bit like Lenny Dee, who did record for Decca for years, but I don't think it's him.
In addition to the organ, I like the wordless background vocals.

Good call Bundtboy! I hadn't thought of LD in years. He and my Dad played golf together and he and Hennie (wife) would hang out at our house. He gave me one of his Sony reel to reel recorders that he used on stage. I still have it. Damn, I'm getting old!

I cried looking at these auctions but on ebay right now you can buy Lenny Dee's organ and leslie. I'm sure he had several organ and leslies, but I sure would love to own this darling little french provincial hammond.

It's from Lenny Dee's Lp TURN AROUND, LOOK AT ME Decca DL75073, and it's track 1 on side 1. I happen to have an autographed copy. Mine is also stamped on the cabl LENNY DEE'S DOLPHIN DEN and gives the address in St. Pete - I guess this is where it was purchased.

Well, now, I've listened closely to my copy a few times and I don't hear any vocals either.
I'm amused at how 2 people hearing the exact same thing can gather such entirely differing concepts of what they're hearing.
My take on it is that it's too new for that glorious jukebox.
In a bit I'll do a transcription of the entire selection and host it to you-tube - in Stereo.
Loves me some Lenny Dee and I had no doubt in my mind it was him from the moment I heard the video the first time.

I tried but apparently my windows media player does not support the making of stereo soundtracks. I do have the stereo mp3 available I can send you if you email me and I recommend the listening difference.
This was made on a direct drive quartz locked speed linear tracking turntable with a top of the line Stanton stereohedron stylus. What this means is you can hear a lot of detail with amazing realizm, and also that I can play records on this machine with virtually no wear or tear.

bundtboy, LD's Dolphin Den was the "anchor" for a strip shopping center on Gulf Blvd. Toward the back was "Capt. Anderson's Dinner Cruise". You could go out and in enjoy dinner while bobbing around on Boca Ciega Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. The special at the "Den" was their prime ribs. Can you make out the name on the back of the album? It would be interesting to know. At one point LD had a fabulous 1962 Cadillac El Dorado convertable. White with red leather interior. He would let me sit in it when they came over.
