I have an older Oster kitchen center we use occasionally. I'd like to tear it down and go through it, cleaning and replacing grease and anything so that we can keep it going for years to come.
I tried scouring the web for any videos or step by step instructions on disassembly but didn't find anything.
Would anyone know how to open up the top mixer attachment for inspection and cleaning?
I removed 4 screws but it's still solid. Don't want to break anything so I'll clean what I can for now and hopefully someone here can give me some tips/instructions on disassembly as well as what to lube, replace, etc...

Ha!... I no sooner posted this and went back to cleaning it up and while shaking the mixer attachment, it popped out. Surprisingly, it looks brand new and the grease inside was not dried or anything. I used my finger to get some of the excess and smear it on each of the gears.
Put it back together and it's running smoothly.
But I will have a go at the speed adjustment sometime...a little De-Oxit should clean it up and have it working correctly.
