Last Replied By and Date

Hi Louis and Glenn<br
I was thinking the same thing last night too about having the last replied by name and time show up in the index. I also need to get the link to turn back to blue when a post is updated. I have an idea on how to do all of those things and I will work on that over the next day or two.

Wow!

Robert, I am most impressed. I read the old discussion section once in a while, but this new format is easier to read and more pleasant. Thank you. I have been enjoying this site as a lurker for about a year now, and I thought it was time to get more active<br<br
I have enjoyed seeing everyone's collection pictures

this is wonderful

this new system is just the neatest thing since sliced bread and its so easy to use love it thanks

New Format

Robert,<br
I just logged in for the first time in two days. This will take some getting used to, but I think it will work. You've obviously put a lot of thought into this - thanks! I like the three different discussion areas. Though I'm an avid fan of vintage machines and have vivid memories of them and how they operated, I don't have the square footage (or knowledge) to remodel and keep them. This new format will allow enthusiasts to post to the appropriate sections as topics come to mind. I do think there are parallels between the old and the new, and you've provided a good forum for everyone here<br

Roberrt!! Robert!!! Robert!!!! I can't express from the bottom of my heart how positive I think of the new format and the dilligent hours of coding you have put in. I'm am humbled. Bob

Great Club

Robert

Unbelievable!

Robert<br
Although this is my first post, I've followed, with great interest, the humble beginnings of the original "Applianceville" in Yahoo to the present "ClassicAppliances". I must say that I'm just blown away at the amount of effort(mental and financial) and time you contribute to make this a world-class site. And it just keeps getting better<br
I, for one, would consider it an honour to contribute financially for the ongoing maintainence and preservation of my favorite place on the net.<br
Just let me know "how much" and "where"<br

Bad Bug

The big code change I had put in this morning to allow the links in the index page to turn from purple back to blue when a reply had been added turned out to be disastrous. We lost two posts in the Imperial Forum and I apologize to whoever created and replied to them. I set the code back to the way it was this morning before I uploaded those changes from an emergency backup.<br
I will keep working on the development side and do more testing to try and get the purple to blue link code to work again, this time without disastrous results<br
I appreciate everyone's support and patience in this time of transition

Awesome

Just got back from a brief vacation. Great job, Robert. I can't thank you enough for all you do in bringing all of us together. Kudos<br
Mike

I too want to thank you so much Robert for all of your hard work. I can't begin to understand how you were able to do all of this!!! Everything is so easy to use and and follow. A job well done!! YAY Terry

features

One thing that might be handy is a "Back To Index" button at the bottom of the thread, so one doesn't have to scroll all the way back to the top.

Question about auto-magic-log-in?

Robert,
I love the new main page of the site! It looks so easy and complete!
Question
At home on my windows computer, it is not saving my 7 day log in
At work on my Mac, it is working correct
Am I doing something wrong
It is no big deal, but I love that feature of the automatic log in
Thanks again for all of your hard work on the site
Brent
