Lots of cool stuff there, it's nice to see the owner has the room to store and not send them to the crusher. Hopefully they will all find good homes.

When I was a small boy my dad's best friend had a '62 Bonneville convertible with the same wheel/brake drum assembly as in the pic. Many years later when I was in high school I asked him what was the fastest car he'd ever owned; by then he'd had cars ranging from a GTO to ram-air Toronado, a Porsche, big-block El Camino, two V-12 Jaguar E-Types, etc. He thought about it for a moment, looked over at one of the Jags, and said "Fastest . . . no question, it was my '62 Bonneville convertible with the 389 Tri-Power!"

I can see the yellow '57 GE set in this kitchen, even with the fridge door opening on the wrong side for here. I won't quibble!

Love the two Pontiacs! Especially the Bonneville with those eight lug wheels! I can guarantee there isn't any business that neat in Florida!

Wow Hans!! I'm overwhelmed. All those3 ranges are beautes. But, I particularly like the avocado HP, maybe because I can relate most to 30" ranes since that's the space in my kitchen. And it was a self-cleaner. Is the 1961 3-speed Catalina, is it 3-speed on column or floor? Cannot imagine anyone wanting a manual wide tracker by the early 1960s. I wonder if it has power steering.

Not sure what to say - we just don't find them like that anymore. That avocado Hotpoint and that '62 Bonneville.......... those folks must be something else! Nice to see that some people still appreciate quality. Next time you're in their store definitely give them a 'thumbs-up'. They HAVE TO BE nice folk.

61 Catalina..

Its column shift, no power anything!, I dont think it has power steering either...389 2 barrel, Here in the South, manual shift is refered to as "straight drive" .The Bonneville is 389 4 barrel, Hydramatic, power steering and brakes. The Roadmaster is Dynaflow, Straight eight, Not pictured is a 40 Cadillac La Salle.

I could easily see that yellow 57 GE set in my kitchen, but what I loved most was the electric Hotpoint in post #19 it has such an interesting console.

I'd love to go there someday to furnish a nice vintage kitchen.

 

BTW Hans does this place still sell furniture?

The Hotpoint ranges in replies #12 and #14 are just like the one Mom had for many years. For some reason I thought it was a Philco, but seeing the photos, it was a Hotpoint. Many great meals and awesome baked goods came from in and on that range. Thanks for sharing the photos.

I really like the brushed chrome Hotpoint, although I wouldn't want to be the one to keep it clean!

Fabulous pics! I have the identical 1958 GE Stratoliner yellow 40" range, they came with large and small ovens, or just a large oven and storage, mine has the 2 ovens, though not the stainless door on the small side. The inner oven door panels are chrome!

They would do a roaring trade if they had all those neat collectors items..

The US stoves of that era are far nicer to look at than UK ones seems ours were purely functional and not aesthetic at all ...
