So our neighbor had us over to see her house last night. She's getting ready to put the house on e market. I was immediately captivated by her stove. Late 50s/ early 60s Caloric. She says it works perfectly except for the left oven/rotisserie, which the gas company disconnected for no reason at some point. According to her Acme Appliance in New Britain CT has the part to fix it (and tons of parts for all kinds of old appliances). If whoever buys the house isn't interested in the Caloric, she intends to find an appreciative buyer for it. I've attached pictures.

She also has a center-dial Maytag pair that also looks pretty pristine. ( didn't get pics of those). The dryer looked a lot wider than the washer. I'm sure many of you could have quoted those chapter and verse!

Oh yeah--how sweet is that Nutone hood? also, the stove has one of those smart burners.

Wow

That looks almost like the gas Tappen at my parents house from the early 60's it was huge, the broiler swung out and the door on the left is where our bread and cereal were stored.. the back was all glass and a bit taller there was a huge clock and timer that took up about 1/4 of the Right side of it, the light was turned on at night as a nite light... I remember the middle of the burners being hot from the pilot lights.... not sure what ever happened to it.. went away to college came home one year and it was gone, replaced with a much smaller stove...
