Hi all

A week or so ago, we as a family purchased a Miele WDA110 to replace the Hotpoint WT960 in the utility as the main machine. The machine arrived yesterday just when I got back from school. It was put in the hallway and unpacked there, later moved to the utility when the old machine was out (now residing in my shed) and the pathway through the house was cleared. Machine then ran a Cottons 60 Set-Up cycle (As instructed by the manual) and was good to go. I honestly cannot fault the machine, it is so stable, sturdy and quiet when spinning and the countdown clock is very accurate unlike the previous machine. Cycle times are lengthly but the short button chopps off more time than you'd think (Cottons 40 standard is 2:29...with Short enabled its only 1:07!), and I was amazed it came with the tools to install it with, and at the full front to back transit straps/rods/bolts.... . Its only from the basic line, but it's amazing! Currently doing a Cottons 40 + Short. With all that said, I'll pipe down now and post the pics. Feel free to comment, sorry if the pictures have turned out poor!

Chris

Lovely machine Chris

Very smart looking. Really impressive that the basic Miele now comes with the honeycomb drum and a good spin speed. Really like the slanting fascia, in common with previous higher end machines.

I'm so pleased you like it. Thanks for giving such detail about the installation too - I liked hearing about how the tools were provided. It's small touches like that which sets manufacturers apart, I think.

The Which? review said something like this model has a very noisy spin. I take Which reviews with a pinch of salt, but I did wonder if (to keep costs down) they have put a standard AC brush motor in in this model? I'm pretty sure the basic Miele my parents have owned for about 10 years has a DC brush motor (silent on wash, reasonable when spinning) - do you know what the situation is with yours?

Anyway congratulations - I really think this is a lovely looking machine.

And I reckon it was just a bit heavier than that Hotpoint to manouevre!!!

Love your machine

Great buy. Very sturdy and I like how they now spray water and tumble the clothes immediately. Filling with style!
