Overflowing washing Machine Videos (Cylinda 9000)

A friend of me called. He said he was bored out of his mind and wanted to have a little fun. He has this washing machine, Cylinda 9000. Its from 1977 and i have helped repairing the machine, about 5 times. The machine spins at 800 rpm

He said the timer have almost broken down and it spins very loudly and cuts out quickly. We go downstairs and check on the machine. The Drum moved pretty smoothly.

He then said he had something to wash. A very old overall. He run up to the kitchen and grabbed the dish soap and then he quirted quite alot of it into the drum.

I just goes like "Yeah okay, what are you doing". He says that oh well, we gotta have a foam party here. The machines nearly broken anyway. I didnt thought it was a good idea but he turned the machine on.

He also got his his digital camera downstairs. It didnt take long before the drum was filled with suds and it was getting higher. He placed a chair pretty near the washing machine and soon it started to overflow. And what a overflow then.

Here in video 02 the machine had already become quite hot which maked the suds flowing faster. Shortly after this clip the machine refilled some water.

In next video there was no doubt that the machine was really hot. It must have boiled in it at this point. I was worried that the machine would dryboil but my friend just laughed and had fun at my comments.

Something happened with the third video. New try.

In the third clip we hear the pump trying to pump some water/suds. It must have been so thick it couldnt get out anything. The machine wasnt standing very good on the floor so it was moving a little.

How did the spin go with that unblalance? Good question.

If you look closely in this fifth clip you can see the machine overflowed with both water AND suds. The strange thing with this is that it must have been over 100 celsius in the machine, but it was still heating. Failure on the thermostath?

I have never chanched the thermostath in this machine so its possible its not working good anymore.

In this sixth clip we see that the drawer was pushing out alot of times. The pressure in the machine must have been very big.

In this 7th clip he mention on the comment he used Yes Dishsoap. Yes dishsoap is a very popoular dishsoap here in sweden and it known for being very sudsy. He also mention the spin is no longer working, but more on that later

Here is the 9th clip of this crazy idea he had. As you can guess, the floor was totally soapy and slippery at this time. It was very near we both fell and every time he just laughed like a really crazy person. At some point i was upstairs drinking tea and thinking happy thoughts. Poor washing machine.

The last of the video clips. In the end, the spin motor broke. After he turned of the camera i said he should rinse out all the suds. He then turned the timer to the rinse section. He had to let it rinse 20 TIMES!!!. When the machine was going to spin after the rinses the motor just "growled" and after some short time there was a burned smell in the air.

I guess he have to buy a new machine. This time without dishsoap in it (I Hope)

Biggest waste of my time watching the few minutes of those that I could be bothered watching.

You seem to have a strange obsession for breaking washing machines and reporting about them on here and by that I mean your own machines or friends machines - not the job you reportedly do.

Every washing machine you have had since joining here has broken or gone up in flames with the same old story - big bangs while you were eating your lunch or something sounding so (UN)sensational.

This is a club for PRESERVING washing machines NOT destroying them - WE REALLY DO NOT WANT TO KNOW WHAT YOU GET UP TO!!!!!

I know im not the only one who feels like this and wish you wouldnt waste our time with such nonsense.

The machines that have broken down for me was:

Hoover Keymatic 3224 (it was from 1961 and the motor broke in it. You get to admit when its that old, they may brake down)

Siemens XL (Guess i was unlucky with that one. The electronic card failed in it)

Now i have an Elektro-helios Machine. There was something wrong with the unblalance control a while, but its ok now.

The Cylinda in the videos is not mine and its not i who have filmed it either. I DO have repaired the machines some times for him. The first time a coin had blocked the pump.

The thing with thsese videos is that its flowing so absolutely crazy.

I don't see anything wrong with doing this to a washing machine and posting it on this site. If it's HIS, then what do we care. I got a kick out of the videos so that's what matters right?
