Serial = Feb 2004.
Mine is Dec 2005.
Am I understanding correctly that the Neptune TL was the last newfangled mechanical washer design that Maytag engineered before the company went kablooey? It's collectible on that point if so.

My FAV6800 was new-in-box, bought in May 2008 so had been warehoused for 2 years 5 months.
Reason why I don’t really care for the Neptune machines is they ruined Maytag’s reputation and caused them to go out of business in 2006. Seen a few videos on the Neptune top loaders and they are not the easiest to work on and if it breaks, forget about it since the repairs will be expensive and aren’t guaranteed and that’s the whole reason why I never bother with HE machines.
