Were there options for the water level on this model?  I just realized that there's not a rotary switch for that function, and I'm not that familiar with the Frigidaires.  Did this 'Jet Action' model have a timed fill or metered fill?

Water level was push button in the options side of the panel--the right side bank of buttons. The options included extra rinse, auto soak to wash, water level (small or regular), cold water wash, and cancel options. I cannot remember what the 6th button was for.

I think they used the same Chicago Ad agency that May-del-tag & Whrilly-poo used in the look back story to sell today goods. Does anyone else see the 1907 wringer washer reference as MAYTAG, and the 1937 1st automatic washer as BENDIX. Makes one go hmmm.

I’ve always wondered why Frigidaire washers had the reset “PUSH” button on the panel. My manual for early models said the button would pop if oversudsing caused a drag on speed during the first spin.

Our 1960 Kenmore suffered suds lock many, many times, especially with loads of bath towels, which held a lot of soapy water going into the first spin—yet no reset button needed. Don’t recall seeing reset buttons on Maytag or GE washers either.

Was there something about the unimatic and rollematic designs that made the reset button necessary?
