I know you were contemplating ideas for a rack to stack a portable dryer...

heres a stacked setup...more like a homemade rack system.....if it can hold a regular full size dryer, it should be able to handle a portable unit with ease.....

this may give you a few ideas I hope.....a few cross members should add stability if the washer is to slide out, while leaving the dryer in place.......pretty neat if you ask me....

A good smith could give ideas and realize this system so easily and for  a modest paycheck ( Sources: personal experience, sister's boyfriend is a smith) ... this one  in the pic does not look so resistant and strong if I've to say mine....but as long as you use thicker irons that would be stonger, you know a dryer does not shake as a washer but still have vibrations and this one in the pic at first glance looks kinda thin and unstable.

But this is of course feasible and this one is a good set-up (as starting idea), as long as it is stronger and more resistant that would not need to b bolted to the wall also.
Also if it was me I was just thinking about adding  blockable casters (the ones with the blocking lever like the baby prams), what I would hate in this setup is the impossibility or the limited possibility to dust or clean easily in the two sides, operation that would become so uncovenient as long as you have those two legs, but easier if you can just pull it out and put back once cleaned...you'll need a longer hose though to ensure it comes out without problems ..
Nice.

Thanks Yogi!

Am going to have to sort out something soon as the units are on the move and due to arrive in NYC in about 14 days give or take.

Really have only two options: raise up the WP dryer and shove the AEG under, or get shot of the portable 18" DW and put the dry in that spot which is in the washer area.

No I tell a lie, have a third option which is to stack the units, but am not overly fond of that arrangement. For one thing it means having to lift off the dryer anytime one wants to move the washer, say to clean or reach for something that fell behind, and of course for service.
