Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Thanks, barcoboy !

Sorry, barcoboy, but I wasn't there ...

In fact, a closer look at the photos reveals that it is not the old 1970-something Hitachi of my beloved grandmother (the one in my search box) That one in Val-B has the plastic tubs whereas the old one had SS tubs and a white metallic outer shell.

Anyway, barcoboy, I duly appreciate the gesture (that you cared to let me know, it could have been 'the good one' after all).

If I happen to locate (nearby your area, as much as possible) some of the older Hoover twinnies (ex.: 0610-11) rest assured that you will be the first to know !

I am in the process of getting hold of some replacement parts for mine's Hoovers, not easy to find! I now have a couple of contacts out there in Australia that may carry some of the original stuff in 'as new' condition. I intend to replace one of the drain hoses, some drive belts (if possible) and maybe one or two other things.

So, barcoboy, if ever you happen to be in need of something for your machine(s), be sure that several of the original Hoov parts might be still available. Really!!

Have a nice day !

Thanks very much,

u j

OK, no problem unclejohn. We're getting closer... "the" one you are looking for is bound to turn up soon! I'll keep stainless tub in mind.

Actually, the only thing that I could use for my twin tub is a fill hose. I've got the adapter that fits into the top fill pipe which leads to the spigot, but I don't have anything that fits over top of my kitchen sink's spout. If ever you place an order from Austrailia and it so happens that they have one, I'd be happy to pay for it as well as whatever it costs to ship it to you, and then to me.
