Back in 2005-2007 I lived in a 1963 single wide mobile home trailer. When I moved in, it had that same stove. It worked great. I sometimes wish I would have kept it when I moved out.

Oh, Kenny,
You tempt me! We'll be getting rid of the Jenn Aire set that we have and going with a cooktop/oven or a free-stander like this. Too bad it has the crack in the glass. Is the white lettering on the glass or behind it? Someone must know this!
Of course, I'd like to see the front when it's not strapped to the toolbox- doesn't look like there's anything between the oven doors and the toolbox. Hopefully it's not scratched too badly!!

Gas Range..
I would love to find a 20 or 30 inch gas range for my laundry room, I have that big old O Keefe and Merritt Hi Vue out there now, its ok, but I would like to find a Southern built range, Dixie, Hardwick, Magic Chef ETC.

Proving once again that some men DO believe that using water anywhere but on their body or car/track or power-washing something will make their pecker fall off!
My great-aunt had that stove in white. Magic Chef had the coolest "uniburners", where the front and rear were one piece.
Also their gas knobs/controls were unique. With gas stoves (in this country), clockwise is "off", such that a right-handed person will be shutting it off ("unconsciously")with the natural (clockwise) movement of their right wrist/hand.
Therefore, counter-clockwise (anti-clockwise=> UK) turns gas the gas on.
Inexpensive stoves have a 90* gas knob/control, while better ones have a 170* control. Anyhow, with Magic Chef brand stoves, the control does not go from "OFF" to "LOW to "HIGH" (lite), as is customary. It goes from "OFF" to "HIGH" (& "lite" [ignite really]) to LOW.

AND!!!
The Magig Chef and some Hardwicks have the simmer flame adjustable with a tiny screw in the center of the shaft, you can turn these ranges down to the absolute lowest setting, without turning it off, as you do with the other brands, there is none of that tedious knob twisting.

I have the Frigidaire's brother in white, love it. I too have a crack in the glass. Would love to get a replacement. If the guy parts it out I may be in for a few items. The Heat Minder on mine has been gone since '62, and I could use the small right rear burner. other than that it's fine...
BTW, the glass is screen printed on the back so it's impossible to replace with anything else...

Mine does NOT have that valve,you have to turn it all the way to light, then back to the lower settings, its a pain because once you get to the second click and the center simmer is on, it is very easy to turn the flame out, then you have to start all over.
