Thank you for sharing your super great finds with us. Could you show a picture of the bottom of the stainless steel prssure cooker, please? It is a very intersting looking cooker. Most of the Presto stainless steel cookers had a very recessed bottom to allow for the bulging out under pressure and were not good for electric stoves. The ones I used also had terrible heat distribution problems with anything other than water in them.

You are so right about old hardware stores off the beaten path being repositories for housewares treasures and I am just the suppository for getting them moved out. About 1980, I stopped in one in VA in the middle of nowhere and found a brand new, in the box Corningware double boiler that had been discontinued in the 60s, I believe. As an added bonus, I got to listen to a woman tell the cashier that she discovered that her well was down when she went to wash so she was having to switch back to the wringer washer until it rained.
