Parts for a 57 Kenmore gas Maid-o-matic range

Hello,

I own a 1957 36" Kenmore gas Maid-o-matic range. I am looking for the kick plate trim, the oven knob, the back of the main oven door, and the bottom oven insert (both are a brown color). There was also another style broiler door on the lesser 36" models. It had no trim and diamonds on the front. I would be interested in that one as well. I have tried numerous people who sell vintage appliance parts across the US. I have also been looking for a parts stove as well. Does anyone here have the parts or stove available for sale? Or know of someone who may? Thanks for any help.

These were very

popular when I was growing up in the 60's and 70's. My aunt kept hers until my cousin got married an needed a stove in 1971.

My neighbor had one growing up as a kid. I remember you had to light the oven by hand. Unfortunately, all gas stoves now have to have either standing pilots or electronic ignition in this state or no gas service can be legally installed.

Very interesting. I have not heard that before. The guy doing the restoration work in CA said the pilot light is automatic, and only needs to be lit upon installation (which he will be doing). I fell for the name and style. I have always had a thing for the stoves of the later 50's. I was able to find the oven knob. Hooray! Just wish I could locate the kick plate trim or broiler door. Mine is tore up on one end, and you can't weld it. Well you can, but it will look bad for another reason.

I should add that the current kick plate on the stove is from a 30" model. It has a centered look because it's not as long.
