Patent of the Day 02.13.10 very interesting

Did this machine ever get built? That tub is a Hotpoint tub with a Hotpoint "sediment ejector tube" clearly on the side. The patent is filed to the Solar Corporation of Milwaukee and then, of course, Delaware. Were they subsidiaries of Hotpoint/GE or did Hotpoint buy them a some point?
