The one rule that I wish all would adhere to is not wearing shoes or boots in the house, especially in our nice, clean, kitchen--and now December is doing "what it's supposed to", as in SNOWING, so there will be a lot of God knows what tracked into our house on these blustery, wintery days...

When my Rottweiler, Herbie, was around he would never listen to my orders to stop shedding. As soon as I turned my back there he'd be dropping hair everywhere. I guess he wanted the whole house to have black carpet???

shedded more in spring, but with daily brushing, wasn't that bad. I did vacuum daily, or at least every other day, him also now and then. He liked it.
