Well, she won't win any beauty contests, but here's the latest acquisition, a Penn-Air "Pop-Down" toaster, manufactured by the Pennsylvania Aircraft Works. Figures that the entire thing is made of aluminum with pan-head screws.
Not having seen one before I figured I better spare it. Needs some electrical attention however. I can immediately see that if one had a "rogue" piece of bread, it wouldn't take much to get it in contact with one of the nichrome wires.
Anyone familliar with these? Did Penn-Air ever make a model other than the 280?
