GE built Highpoint side-by-side from late 60s

I remember these things, it even has a whirlpool built icemaker doesn’t look like the freezer has any shelves, however.

This one still had a separate evaporator in the top of the refrigerator, it could work. It would definitely give your electric meter a good spin I couldn’t imagine paying to operate it.

Well I would like to see more of it then especially inside...

Wouldn't the icemaker make round ice cubes?

I must not be that familiar with GE/Hotpoint side by sides if that fridge is that o,d and not quite what and how I remember seeing them looking like...

Hot point side-by-side

This was sort of hot points answer to the nicer GE Americas that had the ice and water through the door of the freezer, whirlpool made some similar side-by-side to this where you could pull the whole bucket of ice out through the little door in the freezer.

Unfortunately like other side-by-side from the 70s this one will cost you plenty to run and will make your house plenty hot when it’s running.

I love their comet that says it will work fine in a hot or cold garage. The temperature won’t destroy this refrigerator but if you try to keep things frozen in the freezer of this refrigerator when the temperature of the garage dips below 40° , the compressor actually will not come on and the frozen stuff in the freezer will actually melt. This refrigerator does not have independent controls and it’s not meant to run in a cold garage.
