Been to Sainsbury’s tonight had a wonder down the detergent aisle as you do, came across the 54 wash bottles of Persil small and mighty with a dosing ball on top, it’s a bit bizarre as they marketed the product to dispense in the drawer of the machine, anyway I prefer to dispense liquid Via the detergent ball, it’s a bit funny that after all this time of making this product they stick a ball on the top of bottles now!

P.s 54 wash small and mighty is £6.00 in Sainsbury’s at the moment.

I got one from Sainsbury's yesterday, but it's in a new white bottle. It's a new formula with 5 new ingredients and can clean in short cycles, as well as it does on longer ones (supposedly!).

Interesting!

Never been all that keen on liquids, but small and mighty is probably my favourite.

I like that they've added a dosing ball now, don't like pouring liquids into the dispenser even with the special insets for liquid detergents some manufacturers market. I always put small and mighty in a dosing ball anyway.

Wonder if this new formula will be an improvement, would be nice to see it rated above excel gel in the Which? reports.

The major advantage of a ball is that it's a self-cleaning measuring device.
When you pour Persil S&M or any liquid into the cap, it tends to trickle down the side of the bottle if you're not very careful.

With a dosing ball, you just fill to the line and put it in with your laundry. Then retrieve a clean ball at the end of the cycle. It's pretty easy.

Those soft plastic balls also make almost no noise. The big old hard plastic balls used to make a serious amount of rattling if the machine was lightly loaded!

Remember the old Ariel ones?!

Do you have an accurate ingredient list?

The existing Persil S&M Bio and bio capsules contain: Protease, Amylase & Mannanase

They used to just have Protease and Amylase in Persil LiquiGel and older formulas.

In general, the surfactants in the liquids are extremely powerful, so Lipase is possibly not as useful as it might be in the Persil Powder products.

The basic ingredients look very similar to the old formula on the label, just jiggled around a little.

Here's a shot of the back, notice it now mentions dosing in the drum. They have also dropped the description of it being biological, even though it still is of course.

It looks and smells the same as before.

I wondered........

if a new Persil Small and Mighty was on the way as all the supermarkets seem to have deals on it here at the moment.

Finally.....

my Sainsbury's have started to stock the new Persil with the quick wash action. They only had the colour and non bio versions. I got the non bio version which states on the label that it has four new ingredients, so the bio version must have one new enzyme. Just popped a wash on so will see how it performs.

Well......

Have done a couple of loads with the new Persil liquid and am quite impressed. I had a white hand towel that was covered in pasta sauce. Chucked it in the machine on the Express cycle with water plus selected, 10 min wash portion at 40deg and three rinses, total cycle time 37mins. Am pleased to say the stain almost completely vanished ( there was very faint stain there ). I then tried it on a short cotton wash and the stain completely vanished. Pretty impressive for a non bio liquid.

I am searching for ages old Persil Power dosing ball anyone maybe have to share this I be appreciated so much

The new Persil Small and Mighty

Just on a side note, the new Persil Small and Mighty, Is amazing!!! It completely removes any stain you can get on your clothing and surprisingly, it make whites whiter in one wash (considering it's liquid with no bleach).
