Hi all,
Just wondering what anybody else thinks of the new Perisl Small & Mighty. Bought a big 54 wash bottle of the bio small and mighty in Asda at the weekend - with their a £4 off voucher book it ended up being just under a fiver. Also bought a 28 wash bottle of the colour variant a week or so before. Anyway, I'm not sure if it's because I've moved to a different area with different water conditions, but I've noticed that the suds level/rinsing performance of the product has dramatically improved - no suds at all on a hot towels wash, and the first rinse with both a towel load in the Bio variant and a standard load of clothes with the colour variant. The older formula in the old 20 and 42 wash bottles whilst in my opinion being a good product was a lot foamier and subsequently always needed an extra rinse.
Cleaning performance was stellar on the coloureds, got the mud off the bottom of jeans and a fajita sauce stain out - also did well on underarm deoderant stains which I had actually been having trouble with when using Persil colour powder before. The towel load was fair, no worse than Ariel Excel Gel but being a liquid there were slight traces of tea and tomato sauce stains on a couple of the teatowels which bleach containing powders would have otherwise removed, but it did remove most kitchen-related stains on the kitchen towels and did better than I expected, brought the mophead up lovely - and it was a very challenging load for any detergent in it's defence.
Thought I'd try it on the recommendation of my family anyway, my mum now has detergent responsibilities again since I've moved out for the first time in 5 years, and her, my nana and my sister all swear by the non bio small and mighty, and with some of the stains that end up on my niece's clothes they say it brings them up well. In fact mum also said that it brought up dad's dog walking jeans lovely, which is surprising for a non bio liquid... they usually require a good bio powder.
Along with the powders it also seems they've toned down the smell that is left on the laundry, not sure if it's because it appears to be more free rinsing but the smell isn't as strong on the laundry as it once was.
Worth a try anyway if anybody else fancies taking it up, the 28 wash bottles are 2 for £6 at Asda at the moment, or 54 wash bottles are £4.98 down from £8.98 if you have the voucher book. Probably not as good as bio powder etc, but definitely good for a liquid detergent.
Take care
Jon
