Has anyone used Persil Tablets (the new formula that goes in the drawer) and noticed that they don't dissolve very well in the drawer.

I got some today to do my daily whites wash, in the drawer they go, and found after the wash fill, they hadn't dissolved, as I opened the drawer. I had to pour hot water from the kettle to dissolve the rest of the tablets.

Maybe the water was too cold as in autumn/winter the incoming tap water is quite cold.

I have never had any problem with Persil tablets, they always dissolve fully when I use them. The only think that hasn't dissolved for me is Almat's oxy white stain remover.

Cold Water Washing

Hi ZL!

I've never heard of the new Persil Tablets, and I am usually "up" on British detergents. I would, however, never wash laundry in tap-cold water as you do, especially with powder or tabs, ans it is totally inefficient and impractical. The detergents are not formulated to work at such cold temperatures. I do have and use German Persil Color and Universal Gels for my wash. Even those don't clear-out completely in warm or hot water. My Samsung has automatic temperature "cold", which is about 85 degrees F. I have only used that temperature setting ONCE since I have the machine. I just learned to dump the detergent of all kinds right into the center of the washload. That has worked for me all the times since!

Dissolve OK for me... as do all other tablets/powders.  Only issues I've had with tablets not dissolving were cheapo Sainsburys ones before they reformulated them 3-4 years ago...

If you're having issues, then perhaps just put them in the drum with your laundry?

Practically all F/L washers in the UK are now cold fill only and heat the water to the desired temp. So sometimes, when the weather is particularly some products do no't dissolve fully in the draw as the incoming water is very cold.

Yes, I tried some and they always left a load of gunk in the drawer. This was over the summer, so it's not an issue with the water temperature.
