Cavaliers

Hey Gary...

Those are two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels- a Tricolour and a Blenhiem. The 1st dog we had when I was a kid was a Tricolour called Trixie(short for Beatrix).
She was the most affectionate dog ive ever known- if I see one like her now I always stop and say hello and still get a bit tearful, even though she passed about 18 years ago!

Monty is from Cat Protection Society so his origins are unknown, but we think he is a Turkish Van, like all vans he is fascinated with water. Here he is checking out a new arrival washing machine...

Cleo the Cat

I moved to a condo that doesn't allow dogs. My sister is a wacko cat lady and she rescued a Flame Point Himalayan to reside with me. She was a matted mess (the cat) when I got her, so I took her a groomer. I had formed a support group to assist her through the embarrassment of a butch. To my surprise she sauntered in as Miss Thing, so she gets groomed monthly now.

My Gurl Joli

I think I have posted this one before. This is Joli. She is a Bichon and she is 1 year old in this photo. She just loves the car like most dogs she especailly loves the top down. She is really funny to watch when the wind is blowing her hair back.

She has become the center of our household. She has her own closet now with many cute outfits. You know, I must perpetuate that stereotype any time I can. She is a sweetie and a really good dog.

..and this is Phoebe

She is about 3 years old here. I rescued her from a shelter. I saw her on their web site and it was as if she was reaching out to me to take her home. She and Joli adore each other. When we board them they stay in adjoining cages with the wall open. The vet gets such a kick out of how well they get along.

P.S. Check out the photo on the Table. That is a card I got one year on my birtday from a friend who also loves dishwashers. You guys know him as VariCycle. It was a fun surprise.

Here is my ABSOLUTELY last picture of Joli. I promise, please don't cut off my access to this group I know I am out of control. I took this one yesterday and I just can't resist sharing it. My brother-in-law is having a mid-life crisis and bought a Harley so I felt it appropriate to get Joli a Harley hat and send it to my brother-in-law. She's ready for a ride in "Her" harley.

Pecos Pete

I had a pinto horse that was best buddy for my entire childhood. My grandpa got him when I was three. He was mine for the rest of his life. He died at 26. I am 12, in this picture and I have just won my first trophy at a horse show.

Soloman

Soloman was a rescue dog, we got when the kids were in junior high school. He became a wonderful dog. One time, an insurance salesman was at our house and the dog softly growled the entire time. I finally turned to the dog and said, "Relax, Soloman, he'a an insurance salesman. They taste just like Jehovah's Witness!" He loved to run and went out in the pasture one day to find a stick to play with. He had a small branch and was running as fast as he could go. One end of the stick, stuck in the ground and the other pierced his heart and mine as well, that day.

Silver

Silver is a cool, blue merle, Australian shepherd. We raised him from a pup and had to give him away when we moved to Seattle. He on a ranch, in Eastern Washington.
He was named Silver for his wild eyes.
