Neat! Thanks for posting! I find it amusing that a 580 RPM spin speed is described as ‘whirling’.

Neat video I had seen this also years ago not sure exactly when it was done, but the Philco in the video looks to be 1960 or 61
The thing they left out is their machine was by far the smallest of any of the combos they compared it to, so even though it had a much better spin speed than any of the combos, they compared to the drying performance was still a very wrinkled up mess when it came to sheets and table cloths and large loads
If this video was done in 60 or 61 they were still showing a 1959 or older whirlpool combo whirlpool had switched to a design in 1961 that was only 29 inches wide but had a 550 RPM spin and a much greater capacity so from a performance perspective whirlpool had every one of them beat by 1961.
