Hello, my great Philco dryer's timer motor just died, and I would love to fix it. Local appliance guys say no parts available and want to sell me a new dryer.
It's a Philco Custom Imperial Three Speed sens-a-dry Model DE-6G8, mfg code 2x, s/n 6RW12229. I think it's from around 1965, when my house was built, and it's been there since it was new.
Any thoughts on where to get a timer motor that would work in this dryer? Everything else still works fine; it heats, tumbles, reverse tumbles, etc., but the timer doesn't budge.
Thank you very much for any responses.
