Philco or Norge Range at estate sale this weekend?

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support AutomaticWasher.org:

I like these southern country homes. so casual and homey.

The mix and match cabinets in the kitchen, the sunny yellow paint, the two prong outlets at 48" off the floor, the large windows, solid wood furniture, the large enclosed back porch. I'm guessing that the washer and dryer are installed permanently there, along with the freezer.

Your lucky to be there PeterH. There is something so charming and casual about the Southern lifestyle. White lattice panels, victorian ginger bread trim, and Designing Women come to mind.

Is it a Philco or a Norge...It is neither...it is.........

Well let me put it this way You can be sure ...THAT it's Westinghouse.....Ben you are correct it is a circa 1953 Westinghouse Range...I think the owners manual for it is on E-Bay right now...PAT COFFEY

WHEW!!!!

Thought I was going to have to go to Ga. this weekend when I saw Norge!!! but, ain't nothing wrong with a Westy!!!Hope someone gets this,That sale looks great!

I have a 1951 Westy which is similar. Mine has been "re-worked" at some time & has a lot screwed up on it. It has recessed bottom oven units & is slow to preheat but bakes beautifully!! The surface units have fewer turns than my pushbutton GE & is slower. When you turn on any of the surface units, the top flourcent light comes on. Anyone haveing a 50 or 51 Westy, I need parts.
