Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Why didn't the seller provide a shot of the TV side?  If it's a round screen, many collectors would find it desirable.

One reason might be that it's really a radio/phono console.   Kind of small for a hulking vintage TV chassis on the side without the turntable.

"Ad says TV section door won't open"

Going by the state of it would say time and conditions have caused wood to warp. This or something along similar lines has made the door "sealed" in place, not opening and closing the thing for years also probably factors in as well.

Am sure someone who knew what they are doing could get that door open.

My Bad

I just looked at the pix and didn't read the ad copy.

At 38" wide, the CRT could be a decent, watchable size.

I'll bet a good yank would get the door open, or prying it carefully.  It probably has one of those metal catches with the concave portion mounted to the cabinet and the spring-loaded ball mechanism (which is probably frozen) on the side of the door.  They're notorious for being stubborn.
