Are my eyes deceiving me or are there 2 slide latches screwed onto the front of the machine to hold the lower front panel in place? I realize that it's basically a BOL machine but still......

Well some people just have to take shortcuts on repairs I guess.

the round door....

i like the round door on this dryer but i'm wondering something.....
is this round door supposed to be glass and was painted white??
or did this philco brand make round metal doors for dryers???

The glass porthole got broken, and someone rigged up solid piece of something. Given the lower panel repair...it seems likely!

The BOL dryers had a solid door with no glass, purposefully put in place to let the homeowner know how much of a cheapskate they are every time they walk by.
