Most of her comedy acts were on late night tv, so the only way I ever saw her as a kid was via Snowy Bleach commercials. She used to work in jokes about having to do laundry for her husband "Fang".

Housekeeping hints

I had her paperback "Phyllis Diller's Housekeeping Hints", one thing I remember was whether you should clean the light fixtures? She said no, just keep putting in brighter bulbs! Makes sense to me....
