This is my first time creating a new message thread on this website,so please bear with me here. Could someone please tell me what year these machines were made? They look familiar,and I remember seeing that style of agitator in I think was a 67 Lady Kenmore.You don't see many vintage Kenmore's, or other classic machines down here anymore, due to that as soon as one is put on the curb or yard, they are snatched up, and on their way to the shredder to be sold for scrap. Those are either 1967 or 1968, and I believe are models that were issued in Canada.

And then, if I could recall correctly, the 1965-67 Lady Kenmore Washers (here in the USA) featured a "Roto-Flex" Agitator (someone on here recently renovated a 1966 Lady Kenmore Washer in Coppertone...... it will have the "Roto-Flex" Agitator I am talking about) and the #2 Kenmores of that era featured the Vari-Flex Agitator.

The "Vari-Flex" Agitator finally debuted in the 1968 Lady Kenmore.

I remember the roto-flex agitator that's in fridgiman's Lady Kenmore,which is a beautiful machine. My mother's 68 or 69 model 800 alphabet alvacado washer had the same one in it. Years later, I knew someone that bought a used Lady Kenmore that was exactly like fridgiman's, except that it had the Vari-Flex in it. I guess someone put it in there. Oh well, it was a good machine, where is it now, who knows. The house was sold back in the eighties, and I lost contact with the people years ago. Again, thanks for the info. Have a nice day.

The Kenmore you speak of that was like Fridgiman's, and had a Vari-Flex, may not have been an actual Lady Kenmore, but in fact one of those that were rebadged as Sears Kenmores, without the Lady name. This was done when the newer Lady Kenmores of 1968, and 1969-71 debuted. Cosmetically there is almost no difference between the former Ladies, and those that were rebadged with the possible exception of coloring on the controls, especially in the later models. However they do have the Vari-Flex agitator, and if I remember correctly the motor was not a 3 speed like the Lady, but a 2 speed. If the Kenmore you speak of did have the name Lady on the nameplate, then the Vari-Flex was probably a replacement, but otherwise I am guessing the person you knew had the rebadged Kenmore model.
