Here it is driving up. We had some rain so tarps were covering things outside but there's some tv's and rotary irons under there I can tell you as well as treadle sewing machines and who knows what.

I didn't get pics of the stuff inside, too many people but it's chok a blok full of good stuff all in a semi-organized, barely, jumble, tools, mags and book, glassware, for days.
But I managed to find these two little gems in a cardboard box full of trash under a table. Love the Taylor oven thermometer, it's metal and ceramic and the little radio is nice too.

I love places like that!

Wow, this is just the sort of place that I will cut across three lanes of traffic to get to! You just never know what you can find in a place like this. Have you ever been up into the Muskoka lakes area north of Toronto? I have turned up a couple of amazing vintage appliances up at the local used-appliance dealers on the 11 between Bracebridge and Huntsville. Hell, the turquoise Kelvinator range and refrigerator I have came from there! One of these days, I want to take a week off and just wander around the back roads looking for places like this!

And no thrifting foray would be the same if I didn't come home with at least one vacuum cleaner.. I needed this one for parts to fix up a similar red Sanitaire. Or I'll just fix this one up, I don't know yet LOL

He didn't have much for washers other than that Hoover and a few non-descript newer stuff but it's constantly changing as someone dies their lifes accummulations ends up here

Anywho, up the street here is a pic of the old Grand Trunk railway station now the town library

Wow, I wish we had thrift stores of that size over here! Ours tend to be very short of vintage appliances because of mandatory safety tests.

That little Hoover washer is cool - I've never seen one like it from any other part of the world. Were you not tempted by the little fella?

Interesting that Sanitaire is badged as a Euroclean, especially with the European Electrolux logo on it!
