I have an Uncle who was put into a nursing home recently. His brother/my Uncle is in the process of cleaning out his house. In there is an Hotpoint set identical to the pic of the day. My dad said the washer is still there. I suspect the dryer is also there. They were not used very much since he was single and really didn't keep house very well. I think they are from around the mid to late 1970's era.

Let me know if you are interested and I will check with my uncle who is supervising the cleaning out of the house. I'll tell him to hold them.

I need to know soon! I don't if I can get pictures of them.

They are in Buford GA. about 30 miles north of Atlanta. I can't take them as I have no where to store them.

I'd be VERY interested in them if they were in fact, real Hotpoints. A picture would be helpful. I've been looking for a Chicago Hotpoint for a long time. One big clue is a real Hotpoint will have a Solid washbasket, no perforations like the one in the POD.

Washer has a Perf tub

These came out when GE changed Hotpoint over to the perf (non-solid) tubs. I know for sure the tub has holes in it.

They are exactly like the ones in the pic of the day.

I don't know what kind of condition they are in now. I have not seen them in 20 years.

My Uncle who lived there is a massive pack rat. When he moved into the nursing home the back side of the house had already fallen in. I am 5'7" tall and one room per my father is stacked 6 feet high with nothing but stuff. Clothes, papers, newspaper, just straight out junk. So once they un-bury everything I will go up there and see what the W and D look like and hopefully get a picture.

It may be a couple of weeks since my Uncle who is cleaning out the house is on vacation.

Let me know if no one else can come through I can take them. My neighbor had the same set as well as a total Hotpoint kitchen.

I just got a call from my Uncle

about the Hotpoints in his brother's house. Apparently when the back part of the house fell in it took the washer and dryer with it. He said they are completely destroyed!
