BILLIONS of innocent taxpayer money has been funnelled to haliburton due to the twisted connection with dick cheney, speak of self serving.
This country practically owns that company due to all the money that has flowed to it and anybody can say anything they want about it.
Speaking of Upsetting! The 'Big Dig' in Boston was done by a subsidiary of haliburton and we see how screwed up that is. Over budget, incomplete, unsafe, took way longer than planned. A mother was killed this summer in her minivan when a piece of the ceiling fell and smashed her vehicle. This caused a close down of several tunnels.
Lets not forget about the BILLIONs of dollars that haliburton has "lost" in tax payer money because of lack of over sight by this administration, the failure to provide for the needs of our hard working military in IRAQ, IRAQ, IRAQ, such as minimal body armor, amongst how many other frauds involving this company. These are all public facts, check the records.

I already watch what I say, I haven't said anything here or on this site that isn't common knowledge or is intentionally hurtful to anyone here. If you are serious and you have a problem with me, you need to take this to my email and we can discuss it there.

I am tired of some companies using the powers of our government to "hush" bad news or squelling protests.
No one is above that in a free democracy. That is NOT an American ideal.

And ah, yes, bush jr. signed a bill for this farse of a fence today, but a prior bill cancels it out. It won't be built. We all know it is just a farse political move. Check it out at www.rawstory.com or www.huffingtonpost.com

You've only been a member for 2 weeks. By no means am I trying to be offensive; just saying that you might end up wearing your welcome thin.

Everyone is on pins and needles about the upcoming election. Everyone knows about Halliburton, everyone knows about everything that is going on "over there"
And everyone has made their own opinion about the facts, and you cannot change their mind at this point.

Carol is a lot of fun, and is an internet friend of mine. She may work for Halliburton, or perhaps her grandfather did 80 years ago. I do not know. At any rate, I do not think she liked your comment. So please do not start this here. Besides, once you get to know Carol, you will LOVE her! She is a SCREAM!! <:

I, nor anyone else is here just to please others.

I found that when people are discussing something I am not interested in I go onto something else.

Is there some "rules" of this group that haven't been posted on the home page that I should know about.

Again, if you or anyone has an issue wether of contention or just wants to be social I am open to email. I'm friendly.

I do tend to get off on rants some times, though. sorry in advance if I have come accross as offensive. I certainly don't want to be that way.

Actually, although the date on my current profile is such, I have been a member on and off for the last 4 years, almost exactly. I should update my profile. 4 years, god, I remember it like it was yesterday, where does the time go.

I'm not sure a total suppression of all political issues is going to work anywhere, less than ten days before such an important election (indeed, the futures of many, and many of our children hinge on it).

Why not just have one thread for these types of controversial topics? That way, those who don't have the stomach for the sorts of things truthseekers in our communities are yearning for can just avoid these subjects like the plague?

There is a need for self-expression on a lot of these topics these days. To stifle it entirely is to just cause unresolved tension to bottle up, and we all know how, uh, difficult that can be to live with.

Thank you Louis. I try to avoid the political discussions but when it comes to the threads that I enjoy reading, that's not good. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion but let's keep them in the correct threads, please.
