hi all!!! i wanted to just introduce myself! i am not exactly a collector of old appliances (my mom is though) however, i collect retro items such as books, figurines, toys, pictures, and lil odds and ends.... i am also a lucille ball fan.... and for books, i especially LOVE children's books.... 95% of the children's books i own are mine and NOT my son's... (he can read them when he gets older though- haha... he is 7mos old right now)...

alot of my stuff is stored in the attic though cuz my place is sooooo tiny and i had to make room for my husband and child---- i have BOXES upstairs!!

but i have a big question- how can you upload more than ONE picture onto a single post?! cuz right now, i dont know how so i will have to reply to myself to show more pictures- sorry!

hehehe- nice to meet you alls!!!

here is a picture of my sad-eyed animals

here are some more pics

i dont know who the artist is.... this will be the last of the pictures... i have a bunch of other artists including eve, lee, constanza, gallerda (i cant read the name really).... and a bunch more from the big-eyed era....

okay the r. & w. berries co' statues...

i have around 80 of them- including the wooden ones... and then i have 2 giant sized ones... some of them are the grayish wax color and then i have a few pink and turquoise ones....

i love lucy...

i am a big fan of lucille ball (in fact, my grampa used to call me lucy cuz i had that big poof of curls on the front of my noggin- hehehe)

i have some video collections plus i have the entire dvd collection of season one and two... season 3 just came out and we are gonna get it soon (my hubby likes the show too) i also have those metal poster ads in my kitchen of lucy displaying rc cola....

here is a picture of the books... and all of these were gifts from people... the blue one is a biography... the pink one is a book of all the lucy paraphen. including dolls, magazines, and it tells what the items are worth too... the white one is a scrapbook of lucy and desi and it has copies of their marriage certificate and passports, ALL SORTS OF NEAT STUFF....

I LOVE LUCY TOO

Hi I realy love you books and the pictures of the sad animals who need a home hahaha thanks for sharing them with us

THANK YOU....

i know there is a slew of sad eyed animal pictures... cant wait to get more... once i get a car though.... hahahaha... one of the lucy books my LANDLORD gave me... thx for your compliments! do you have any lucy stuff?????

lucille ball was a ball

Ilovy lucy also, especially VITAMEATAVEGAMIN,the martian episode, the brick-grill one,the runamuck riding mower.I woulda said the chocolate factory, but I don't laugh as much at that one anymore. There never was a bad I Love Lucy, some were nice, some were superb, but some were even classics, which is,IMHO a rarity in today's television,I Love Lucy was far and away the VERY BEST sitcom of the 1950s,The Dick Van Dyke show was the best written sitcom of the 1960s,tho' I also ADORED some of the silly 60s shows such as Bewitched, and another classic,The Flying Nun simply for their fantasy appeal.

Howdy Howdy!

Hi there Almostclean from the land of dust, rust, and (today) balmy weather! You'll love this site! I learn something new every day!

Love your sad eyed pics. I remember those cute animals! I think a friend of mine even had them on her wall when she was a teenager.

As far as I Love Lucy...hands down my favourite episode was when the Ricardos and Mertzes were in Hollywood! Lucy made a fool of herself with William Holden, and then tried to disguise herself with a fake nose. It worked until Mr. Holden attempted to light her cigarette and instead lit her "nose".! Too funny. I cry with laughter every time I see that one! :-D

Do you collect any vintage appliances; large or small?

Once again, WELCOME! Enjoy the site!

thank you all...

retromom: no, i dont collect any vintage appliances as of yet... i have a retro fan but i hadda move it cuz i have a crawling baby :) you know, i dont even remember some of the stuff i have upstairs in the attic- i collect odds and ends like old solder glue, old nylons, etc.... my mom is the one who collects alllllllll the appliances... so if i find any, they will go to her collection :)

i love all the lucy ones in hollywood too... i just bought dvd season 3 last night.... hmmmmmm, i dont even have a favorite.... i love them all!

and mrcleanjeans, i love the dick van dyke shows too.... me and myhubby wanna get them on dvd too.... he was such a riot.... i used to love flying nun but its been ages since i've seen it.... and i loved the show "get smart" and "the monkees"... i used to love the show "hazel" too...

can you believe i am only 23?! while all the other tweens were reading babysitters club books, i was reading old classics like homer price and all the basement smelly books :)

and suziehomemaker: thank you too! do you collect any other famous people?! i dont- but i wanna get a bunch of biography books for my collection like of ingrid bergman... i have a pat o'brian book....

thank you all!
