More Snack Memories.....
Hi Laundryshark!
That link to those cracker/snacks just made me think of "Whistles" by General Mills! Do you remember that one? Cheddar crunchy (sort of like Chee-tos) but better - more cheddar! I saw the Daisys as well - these two are no longer made but I know Bugles are still around. I also remember Hydrox cookies and prefer them over Oreos hands down! I believe they were the original chocolate creme sandwich cookie made by Sunshine, and are sadly no longer available - at least around here! There was a website dedicated to Hydrox and it stated that Keebler now has the recipe. Remember Space Food Sticks? They went up along with Tang for the space flights back in the late 60's - early 70's. How about a vintage Shake-A-Puddin' snack that came with it's own cup, and you added water to a fill line, then added the powder mixture. You shook it up for a minute or so, then let it set for a few minutes until it set. How 'bout 1-2-3 Jello? It had a neat effect in dividing up into three sections - a frothy top followed by a pudding like middle, then the regular Jello on the bottom. You just sparked all these memories of mine from being a kid back in the 60's! Good Times! - Thanks! - Mike
