Something to snack on while doing laundry: Next time I head to the store, I will also look for those flavored varieties, as they sound yummy! Granted these are not the healthiest snacks in the world to munch on, but even the healthy eaters among us cannot resist the taste of this American classic. Meantime, enjoy the www.pik-nik.com Web site.--The Shoestring Potato Eating Laundry Shark

Other Shoestring Potato Brands

The only brand carried by my local Wally World is the jumbo canisters of Allens® Butterfield® Shoestring Potato Sticks. See Web site reference.--Laundry Shark

...and Snowy, and Vivid and Easy-On and Yes...

French's Foods, as you already learned when you linked up with them, is a unit of Reckitt Benckiser, makers of the above mentioned laundry products...of course, Profit and Gain makes Pringles...

Ore-Ida Crinkle-Cut French Fries

Just discovered these... now that they've taken the trans fats out, I can eat them. Heretofore I've been using a deep fat fryer for french fries, but it's time consuming (can take 20 minutes for a 120 volt fryer to get up to temp), messy and energy intensive. So for the frozen crinkle cut fries I just pop them in a 450F oven for 15 minutes, and they come out very nicely. And now that it's winter, the extra heat in the house is not unwelcome.

As far a snack foods go, lately I've been munching on Cheddar flavored Sun Chips. Less fat than normal chips, more fiber, and not bad tasting either (the regular Sun Chips still taste like hay to me).

PS-Does Gray Poupon mustard come in a squeeze bottle?

Ore-Ida® Fries

And to learn more about your favorite variety of Ore-Ida® Fries, see URL below. keep up this thread, and we'll make ya all down right hungry! Imagine the smells of your favorite snacks combined with your favorite laundry product scents. *broad grins*--Laundry Shark

Bing Candy Bar

Although not directly a "holiday candy," this candy bar brand is my favorite winter time treat. La Fama is also good, too. In case these aren't available to you locally, you can shop for these candies online.--Laundry Shark

Ovaltine is available!

Hey Laundryshark,

Yes, Ovaltine is alive and well at all our local grocery stores. In fact we have a couple of containers of it in the cupboard as I type this! A classic!

Cracker & Cookie Boxes

hey Mike! Cool Beans! Maybe I'll luck out and find Ovaltine in Cedar Rapids. Meantime, here is a link for some pictures of classic snack cracker, chip, and cookie packaging. Several of these products are still around in some form or variant today. Wished I could still chomp on some of those classics though, such as Chipsters, Corn Diggers, and Pizza Spins. Although Pizza Spins is not shown here, I still vaguely remember that childhood snack.--Laundry Shark
