Pimping a Speed Queen with lights

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Instead of .......

the pink/blu wire ... try the grey/blk that goes to pin 1 of the pressure switch. And the white as before.

Good deal ....

It appears the pink wire is behind a timer switch before it exits the timer. The grey is a straight shot from the knob. Glad you got it working.

Yeah. At least something goes as supposed sometimes 😅
It gives me strength to continue trying
They lost the package containing the seals that I have to try for the second time to replace to the belt drive whirlpool, after I stupidly broke them while trying to put them in.
Speed Queen got a new vibe to it
I enjoy seeing it in my bathroom.

I tried making a light hood for the 1962 WP, probably in the late 60s or early 70s.  No LEDs then.  The incandescent bulb melted a hole in the console over the control box.  Dad, surprisingly, didn't throw a ruckus about it.

Now am gonna make things big.

Posting it in case someone may use it as well.
Am gonna buy this flexible aluminum profile with frosted "glass" it says it can adapt to any support surface even though it should be just fine as it is 1.8cm just right to fit on the flat surface of the speed queen panel.
Its gonna look like it came from the factory that way!

I already have FIVE dryers vented inside...

Lint, yes, tons of lint, actually last night Darryl and I were wiping all the washers because they were nasty.

Not only lint, also smog, because we're in Downtown Los Angeles (you can imagine how traffic is) and my giant laundry room has two windows and a door that are open 24/7 (security door is locked when I'm not there).

And no, i have no issues at all with moisture. It's always so windy (my laundry room actually feels like a wind tunnel) that all the moisture is pushed before there's any chance of condensing on the walls.

I'm very aware of the risks of CO poisoning. (four gas dryers and they run at the same time almost every time I do laundry. I have a brand new Kidde CO alarm installed in a very strategic position and the reading is always zero.

And also, I'm in the laundry room usually when I'm washing, but not when drying. It's very rare to stay in the laundry room with a dryer running.

Also, I'm a smoker (heavy). So what's a fart for who already pooped in the pants? I'm pretty sure my Pall Malls are way more dangerous than an eventual trace of lint or CO from the dryers.
