Pink 1957 Frigidaire Control Tower Set in the St. Louis Metropolitan Area...

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

I like that the dryer offers 140 minutes of dry time with high, medium, low and delicate temps. I think all dryers should offer 140 minutes of dry time.

Old appliances had the best control systems with all the best options. If these options could be paired with modern versions of the Whirlpool 29 inch dryer and direct drives in conjunction with durable chrome styling it would be a win-win.

Thank God the older generation didn't throw stuff away like the mid silent generation through current do.
I honestly can’t justify throwing something away that can provide many years of trouble free service, as long as parts can be found or made, might as well keep things for running as long as possible.

Of course, there will be those who will make remarks but honestly, who the hell cares. If people complain about the things one has being ‘outdated’ or ‘obsolete’, then they can forward the money for something newer.

People who always want the latest and greatest are most often financially broke.

Could only be better if they were turquoise, but then that's a personal thing! Hope countryford can nab 'em🤞.

Turquoise wasn't introduced in the Frigidaire line until 1958 along with Sunny Yellow, before that the '57 came in Pink, Sea-Foam Green, Stratford Yellow and White. Later on in the year by spring of 1957 they also introduced Charcoal Gray. I agree though a Control Tower set in Turquoise would be absolutely stunning!

Robert, your post with the renovated Control Tower agitator set is STUNNING (I'm using it as a Screen Saver).

Is that Photoshopped or is it real?

Well I've never!! lol. No it's real Ken, no need to do any photoshopping when you've learned how to make silicone molds and reproduce rubber parts nearly identical to the originals. Now you've done it, you made me walk into the kitchen and take a video :giggle:.

Neither of the two recent videos Robert posted (above and the ABC-O-Matic agitator wings) have an image/preview for me, only the playback/volume control bar. I can download them and play but are choppy and distorted as to be unwatchable. The resolution and bitrate apparently are too high for my old computers, including a 64-bit with 16GB of RAM. They play smoothly via an LG DVD player that has a USB port (thumb drive).
